The top 21 finishers weigh-in 20-pound plus bags on Lake Okeechobee.

CLEWISTON, FL – The highest paying team tournament trail in Florida charged out of the gate with a bang with a record number of boats and a winning weight of over 30 pounds. That’s how you start a season.

At safelight Saturday, 161 boats took off from Roland Martin Marina in Clewiston under favorable conditions with temperatures expected in the mid eighties for the day. Though the competitors were bunched in some areas, 20-pound limits filled the leaderboard. But it took thirty pounds to win this one.

Lee McCracken and Jim Medlin took home top honors with 30.45 pounds of Lake Okeechobee bass that earned them the big check for $6,000. The payday continued with Ranger Cup paying out $1,000 and Bruiser Baits adding $150 more.

In second place was the team of Ron Yentz and Charlie Cenko that weighed in 28.07 pounds and earned them $3,000.  Third place went to the team of Greg Harp and Chris Crow that brought 27.54 pounds to the stage and earned them $2,000.

Paying out to the top 26 places, the Roland Martin Marine Center Series is the highest paying team tournament trail in Florida with 100% true payout. From big checks to the top finishers and big bass rewards to valuable contingency programs and even the top female finisher getting a check from Mary Ann Martin herself, this tournament trail really does give back to the anglers.

The 2018 Roland Martin Marine Center Series season features 4 qualifying events leading to the Championship in December where the winning team takes home $20,000. To get in on the action, make sure you register for the next event today and you just might be the next big winner.
